The ballroom was filled with Disney magic, Broadway showtunes, and plenty of heartbreak during week 5 of Dancing with the Stars!
This week’s highly anticipated theme was “Disney Night,” celebrating decades of iconic Disney on Broadway performances. The remaining contestants brought their absolute best to the dance floor, but as always, the magic had to end for one unlucky couple.
So, who got eliminated on Dancing with the Stars this week?
After a night of intense competition and a fierce team dance-off, the bottom two couples were revealed: Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas, and Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa. Ultimately, it was beloved actress Julia Stiles and her partner Ezra who were sent packing in a tragic and shocking elimination.
Despite the sad exit, Julia kept a smile on her face. “It’s been an incredible experience, I pulled things out of myself that I didn’t realize were there,” the 10 Things I Hate About You star shared. “Ezra is just an amazing person. I’m going to be sad not to see him every day.”
Ezra was equally emotional, telling Julia, “Just to see your growth in and out of the ballroom has been an honor. I love you so much.”
While Julia’s journey came to an end, other stars completely stole the show. Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy earned the very first perfect score (40/40) of the season with a flawless Beauty and the Beast quickstep. Harry Shum Jr. also kept his hot streak alive, earning another perfect score for his Mary Poppins jazz routine.
It seems like live TV is full of surprises lately! Just last week, fans were left speechless when reality star Ciara Miller was shockingly eliminated during Mariah Carey Night. You truly never know what is going to happen next in the ballroom!
