If you remember watching Bo battle it out against Carrie Underwood back in 2005, you definitely remember his signature chest-length rocker hair and rugged scruff. Well, you can officially say goodbye to that look!
The 50-year-old musician recently took to Instagram to show off a shocking short, spiky haircut and a clean-shaven face. But the hair transformation is only half the story. Bo also revealed that he has lost a staggering 89 pounds over the last two years!
“Ain’t it funny what 2 years’ll do in your life,” the singer captioned his jaw-dropping before-and-after photos.
While fans are loving the fresh new look, Bo opened up about the painful reality behind his transformation. He shared that years of battling Crohn’s disease and undergoing multiple stomach surgeries took a massive toll on his body and even ruined his teeth due to stomach acid.
Navigating severe health issues in the public eye is incredibly tough. Just recently, fans were left heartbroken when actress Christina Applegate broke down in tears over her shocking MS misdiagnosis. Thankfully, Bo used his health struggles as motivation to completely turn his life around.
The singer revealed that he ditched alcohol, drugs, and even caffeine. He is now living a super clean lifestyle and relying only on natural remedies.
“Back into a comfortable and healthy lifestyle, 50 feels better than any other decade I experienced yet,” Bo proudly shared with his followers. He is even gearing up to release a brand-new single fittingly titled “A Brand New Man.”
